Welcome Nathan Carl Bartron!

Our newest grandbaby was born on April 2nd to Ryan and Heather who live in Bountiful, Utah. We went to visit when he was 3 days old and got some pictures with both sets of grandparents. Nathan is a good combination of his parents but seems to have inherited the "Bartron Scowl". We are excited that they are only about 3 hours away and hope to get to know Nathan well before they all move away in the Fall. Ryan will be going to grad school somewhere - will update that later. Here are some of the pics we took on the way to Bountiful and while there.

Mesa Family Fun!

Avery Thomas Smith - our latest grandchild. Avery is number 5!! He is adorable!

Bob, Jennifer and Pat spent several days with Dan and Janelle in Mesa. We took two family pictures, but this was the best one. As you can see, Jarin had something going on and the tension was building. We only got to take two pictures and the one after this shows a miserable Jarin after being slapped loudly by his sister. After that, the opportunity was over and we got what we got in terms of pictures. But, at least we got a picture, which is hard to do considering we were trying to get 8 kids and 5 adults to be "picture perfect". The odds were against us!!!

Kallie's Baptism

We went to Kallie's baptism on Saturday, February 28th and it was a very special day. Kallie looked beautiful in her white dress and she was supported by lots of family. Doesn't she look happy with her Mom?!

December 2008

We love the sunsets here in Idaho. This was taken from our front door one night. We have the best view. Some nights it is like our very own outdoor movie with the scene constantly changing and showing the most magnificent colors. The sunrises can be just as beautiful but with different colors. Wow!

We have quite a few Birthdays in December. Bob's was on the 7th. He wanted a cheesecake. Dan and Ryan also had birthdays this month.

We celebrated Jennifer's Birthday on the 23rd. She had a delicious yellow cake with two flavors of frosting. It was so good!!!! Jennifer was born on her Aunt Deb's Birthday.

Snow, snow snow!! It started the Saturday night before Christmas and didn't let up until Monday afternoon. Then the wind started. And, on Christmas eve it began again and continued all Christmas day. We measured 19 inches last night but that could be affected by blowing and drifting, so we could have more or less, but just look at Bob's truck! Our neighbor came over with his backhoe after the first batch but now we are pretty well snowed in. Good thing we don't want to go anywhere yet!
